Charlene Rayers

Charlene's career as a bodyworker started in 2004 at The Center of Advanced Therapeutics in Denver, where she studied medical massage and neuromuscular therapy. After initially practicing in a physical therapy wellness center, she went to work at Craig Hospital in the outpatient rehab department as a PT/OT aide. It is at Craig, a renowned rehabilitation facility specializing in spinal cord and brain injury, that she first learned of the power of the nervous system and its role in the care and control of the musculoskeletal system. After a personal injury, resulting in a shoulder separation, she began to pursue techniques that would bring lasting relief and enable her and her clients to remain active.

Charlene started BodyWork Concepts in 2005 with a focus on chronic pain relief and health coaching. She believes that bringing balance to your body is the first step toward true healing and lasting pain relief.

Additional studies in MyoKinesthetics led her to create a unique program of soft tissue manipulation that balances the nervous system, correcting postural distortions, muscle imbalances and nervous system dysfunction. Charlene can help those with pain issues in the neck, shoulder, low back, hip and foot. She has helped many find relief from frozen shoulder, sciatica, plantar fasciitis and bulging or herniated discs. She has even helped clients avoid surgery by eliminating their pain.

After fighting fatigue and digestive issues with no real relief from medical doctors, Charlene went back to school to study Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. This education has helped her uncover the true cause behind years of digestive issues, hormonal problems and fatigue for herself and many others. She can now offer help to clients suffering with various health issues as well as pain.

Charlene is a New Orleans native who moved to Denver in August of 1994 to escape the mosquitos. She is a pet parent to two dogs, Jaxon and Keiko and no mosquitos. When not working, she loves to be outside hiking, biking or just hanging out with family and friends.
